I had a family member who was quite upset by people calling maga Nazis recently… I just thought, stop acting like them and you won’t get compared to them.

I’m honestly kinda suspecting this is more likely someone that’s upset about the election and fear mongering than it is someone who genuinely supports these positions.
This just feels like someone trying to make a point by trying to make the worst version of their enemies feel more real.
What are you even talking about? Have you ever seen the things they say amongst themselves? Have you not paid an ounce of attention to Trump’s rhetoric or the white supremacists who support him??
I try to spend time in both left and right spaces. Maybe I haven’t gone deep enough into rights spaces - I see them saying gender confirming treatments should be elective, not covered by any insurance and not available for any minors. I see support for mass deportation of immigrants who are undocumented or have overstayed their visas etc. I see them wanting to get “woke” teachers fired from schools, and some who want to ban abortion (but like marijuana, that’s a losing issue even in their base).
But I haven’t seen them calling for the death of every Democrat voter, not in active chat. I have seen screenshots and read anecdotes. I have seen the opposite though, both here and on Reddit, so many times, people I’m chatting with saying we need to kill every Trump voter. I don’t doubt that it happen on the right, my experience is seeing it more from the left though. It disgusts me regardless of where I see it.
