I’d say the folks who confused me the most aren’t the ones who sat out.

It’s the ones who explicitly voted orange voldemort back in because they were unhappy with Dems on Gaza.

At least someone voting for Stein (who explicitly wanted Harris to lose) could point to her pro-Gaza policies as justification. But, the GOP candidate?

A lot of us set aside our outrage to support the Dems and try to stop Trump, including me (check post history). Now I’m going back to saying that the brakes were never there. Maybe Trump pushes the gas down, but stop acting like Biden didn’t give billions in aid and diplomatic immunity to Israel. Stop overlooking that he proclaimed himself an unyielding Zionist promising “ironclad support” to Israel. Israel has been doing whatever it wants for the last year, and the US “lesser evil” has turned out to be really evil when it comes to Palestinians.

Downvote all you want in spite of those provable facts if you don’t like it - I’ll take ethics and proof over approval any day. Tell me about how it’s going to be worse as if that somehow justifies the last year of war crimes and ignoring Leahy laws. Tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians have been murdered, many times that injured, and millions have been displaced and starved. One of the worst of many atrocities is that more Gazan children were slaughtered in 4 months than died in all armed conflicts worldwide in the previous 4 years. All with Biden’s “ironclad support” of ethnic cleansing and in spite of his useless “concerns” and letters/warnings.

Kamala, who told Palestinian protesters to be quiet before they were removed from a rally, who has stood with Biden and refused to meaningfully promise a break from him on Gaza, was not believably different. Biden also told protesters he understood their passion, but never did anything. Read this article with specific examples of how Kamala never went beyond the same words Biden has been using all year. I will not be gaslit into thinking Kamala indicated a stop to US support.

Then why did you fill your comment with everything about Biden?

It seems weird, if your goal was to evaluate Kamala Harris. It seems perfectly on-message if your goal was to criticize the Democrats using whatever came to hand.

The election’s over, so I don’t see the purpose in getting in a long argument with you about it. But criticizing Kamala Harris because she didn’t stop Netanyahu is about as stupid as criticizing Biden because he didn’t stop Trump from causing inflation that hit us in 2021 and 2022. And, I suspect, the reasons behind it are the same.

I filled the post with Biden because I was talking about US policy. Under Biden. Which is applicable to the original article’s premise that now the brakes are gone, when I argue they weren’t there. Was I supposed to say “Kamala sent billions in aid to Israel” etc? Regardless of whether I said Kamala or Biden, the #'s and scope of the ethnic cleansing with US bipartisan complicity is the same.

I know that you have a narrative that Biden was able to suspend arms without congress or the American public raking him over the coals for it, maybe cancelling him and sending aid anyway as they did when Trump tried to hold aid for Ukraine. And that none of his piss-poor diplomatic resistance had any impact, and Kamala Harris was exactly the same and wouldn’t have formed any kind of brakes on Netanyahu, even when compared with Trump’s enthusiastic approval.

The thing is, none of that is true. For more information, you can read the article.

The article is paywalled, Biden never truly tried (he even bypassed Congress on arms deals), the diplomatic resistance was indeed piss-poor, and most of America did not agree with Biden’s handling of Gaza. Especially Dems, and even more so young people and independents. Say it all you want, I’m not believing Biden was held hostage and really wanted to stop Israel. Neither his policies nor his words indicate anything but the opposite.

Yes, I’ve heard your narrative. It’s wrong. For more, figure out a way to read the article, or otherwise learn what it is saying and why from some other source.

If you just want to keep repeating what you already think, find someone else to do it at, please. I heard it the first time you typed it.
