What is the deal with baby food and lead? Last time I heard of a baby food recall it was lead.

Its probably just one of the few foods that actually get tested

I bet if someone where to do a proper testing of all the foods sold in a grocery store, a terrifying percentage of food would come back as positive for heavy metals

Yup, pretty much all food has lead & other heavy metals in it because the plants we make our food from absorb it.

The safety levels for lead in baby food is 10-20 parts per billion (quick Google search article, didn’t confirm) and is most likely tested more frequently like you indicated.
