Some people are beginning to suspect he’s been killed. I hope to hell that isn’t the case, but it’s hard to really know at this point, given the complete lack of cooperation with the courts.

This is what my wife keeps saying, with certainty. I thought it was weird at first, but then I remember that he had that protective order specifically because of the strong threat of violence to him if he was deported back… to the country they sent him to.

I am hoping it’s not the case, and that this is just them wanting to avoid having to back down, but it really wouldn’t have been a big blow to them to bring one person back.

I don’t think they expected their death camp(s) to get exposed so quickly, and now they’re rushing to figure out what to do. Or maybe Bukele started killing people on his own. I pray I’m wrong, and he’s still alive.

It isn’t the case that they have to engage in diplomacy to bring him back. They are paying El Salvador to take these prisoners. El Salvador has no reason not to hand him over.

Walk into prison. Yell out “Where is Abrego Garcia?” He raises his hand. Found him.

They know exactly where he is. Whether he’s alive or dead is the question.

Would they really have started killing so quickly? Like, I’d think they’d want to wait a couple of months and ease us into it
