Pope Francis, who remains hospitalized, has bilateral pneumonia, the Vatican said on Tuesday.

The term simply means pneumonia in both lungs, said Dr. James Musser, director of the center for infectious diseases at the Houston Methodist Research Institute. He added that, without examining a patient, he could not say anything specific about his condition.

I wonder if the next pope installed will be more conservative since that’s hot at the moment

I know a few Catholics in my family turned on the current pope at some point

Since people who are not conservative are leaving the Catholic Church at a significant rate, it stands to reason that the people who are left will be more conservative.

I know one person who is a rabid defender of the Catholic church. The last time we talked, I was explaining to her that Jesus taught that you should love your enemies and not fight back. She said I was stupid and that I must have been reading a defective Bible.
