I don’t think making art in the style of a copyrighted piece of work is wrong. Like writing a fanfic in an existing world (Harry Potter, LOTR, Blade Runner, etc.) isn’t copyright infringement, it’s covered by fair use. I think Alcon are suing the wrong person. A better case for copyright infringement is the AI company who trained their AI using copyrighted material that they almost certainly did not have permission to use.

I think what they’re trying to say is that if asking AI to make something in the style of Blade Runner is copyright infringement, that opens the door to asking an artist to make something in the style of Blade Runner being copyright infringement. I don’t know how I personally feel about that, but it’s at least how I interpreted the comment.

But why should a public park have hours of operation? Benches and open space don’t stop working after certain hours, don’t take resources or workers to operate, they’re just there. Why should we punish people for enjoying the outdoors?

I think that’s part of what she’s saying. She’s been very very open about not wanting to be worshipped. This all started with her saying she didn’t endorse either candidate when asked in an interview and she’s (rightfully) mad that people have blown that way out of proportions

Did you not watch the video? She explicitly mentions transphobia and genocide. And she made that video because a quote of hers was taken out of context (much like you’re doing) and people were saying her not endorsing Kamala meant she supports Trump.

She’s been getting a lot of hate for not endorsing Harris and people fail to realize the difference between endorsing and voting. Her entire point is that the government can’t be fixed in a day. Voting for Harris is the obvious choice but her being in office isn’t going to magically solve all our problems.

I got grandfathered in when they shutdown Google Play Music and it made Youtube so much more enjoyable of an experience. If I were to sign up today, I wouldn’t pay for Youtube Premium, but I’ve been spoiled and don’t want to go back to how shitty Youtube has become.
