A lot of companies prefer fascism since it is more profitable.

“Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power”

    ― Benito Mussolini

More profitable as long as it doesn’t go too far. Once it reaches Trump/Hitler levels, with half the country on fire, profits WAY down in the other half, and anyone who tries to change course getting thrown in prison, they all wind up looking around clueless, in “We’re all looking for the guys that did this” mode.

It really isn’t profitable at the point where it becomes unpredictable. Business loves to be able to plan, regardless of any moral consideration, they can’t have their employees arrested on the whim of some dictator, that part hurts profits.
