I would think it would be neat for him or her to hear from lemmings that appreciate the work and everything. If there is not a community to do an AMA can we create one?
There have been occasional AMAs with the Lemmy devs. We’re already ahead of you. Last one was earlier this year if I remember correctly.
It was also on his instance, lemmy.ml.
apparently I am banned from that website with out getting told a reason why.
Badge of honor. Means you arent an awful person, or at least not in their specific way
Do you have a direct link besides just the website?

With a quick search using “Dessalines” and sorting by top-year, I found this🙃
But nothing on lemmy.world?
I just created a community asking for AMA Requests…is there another community I can subscribe to where I can ask for someone to do an AMA also where or what do we have to subscribe to to see the AMAs of the devs?
I think AMA only works when it is 3rd party to the platform where the outcome is inconsequential to the platform. A dev on their own project would have much more negative and far reaching potential problems. Open source is already challenging to maintain morale and participation long term. I certainly would not want to see a major negative feedback from misguided or ignorant users. Most here likely don’t even understand things like why Rust is the gold standard of code, why that matters, or how hard that really is to work with.
Hate to be a downer, but that would probably devolve into either Politics, people complaining about lack of features or critiscisms of certain decisions.
Who is Dessalines?
The Haitian revolutionary??
One of the main full time Lemmy developer, admin of lemmy.ml and also author of the Jerboa app.
He or she created lemmy.
Oh. I actually interacted with them earlier today then
Thank you so much saving this because I just asked him my first question. Feel free to join in.
