For sure, it’s an ‘American product,’ but it’s also got that European-style, sly observational quality.

Oof, I suppose we could argue endlessly upon this stuff, but at the end of the day? I feel like I’m mainly correct in listing it here. Do speak up though if you feel I acted in error.

Oh, and I also cut down on a couple links that are no longer relevant, outdated, etc, upon yon sidebar. So you should only see eight total now, I believe…?

the sheer audacity for OP to believe that they and they alone get to determine what is and isn’t European?

Yeah, imagine the audacity for someone to decide what they want to host in their own community and why, write in the sidebar that it is allowed, and then solicit feedback from the community in case other people disagree and hear them out.

Literally this stuff is how Hitler got started

Yes, I agree. One person spending money to purchase a domain and then using that leverage to claim the definition of something being European is because they personally like them is precisely how Hitler got started.

I think that you’re making an absurd and unfair comparison about users of Lemmy, and I don’t think that you comparing the actions of users on Lemmy to the rise of the Nazi party is going to help OP build a better community about eurographicnovels; which ultimately is the goal of this thread.

I have spoken my piece in support of disallowing such content, vitriol included for emphasis. Now, what is your feedback about OP allowing American Webcomics on a European Graphic Novel community?

I guess my sarcasm didn’t translate lol

My feedback to OP is that I’m mildly against including this particular American webcomic into a community where it doesn’t seem like it belongs, as I’ve said elsewhere in this thread. My feedback to you is that you need to chill out.
