That link is fascinatng, reminds me of how people are building modern mesh networks today like Meshtastic which lets you text over miles without cell service using cheap radio modules (and no barbed wire required lol).

Oh yeah I was reading about the mycelium mesh project the other day. I think they used rechargable disposable vape batteries, or it could have been small solar panels idk. It’s all pretty cool.
