Least-worst prospective buyer so far assuming Yahoo isn’t just another “AI” company now.

      Just a browser, please.

Agreed. Companies buying Chrome to make it a hyper target ad source sounds like a terrible idea, most tech people will just flock to a browser that doesn’t do that (at least the ones who haven’t already).

Which honestly would be great for browser competition, I feel like the best thing anyone who buys chrome can do is ruin it so everyone leaves for other browsers

I fail to see how Yahoo will make Chrome better. I guess in the name of competition.

They could buy it and then release the source code to expose all the surveillance. It won’t make Chrome better, but it’ll at least show how much its been spying on its users.

Can Yahoo afford to support Chrome with a similar level of resources? Maintaining a browser isn’t cheap.

I guess I better go dust off my Yahoo and AOL emails, Assuming this happens we’ll probably need to change to one of their logins.

Yes I know, use Firefox, but on my cheapo Chromebook I use at night for streaming that isn’t an option

Also, I can’t imagine Verizon and Apollo are going to have a heart and fix Chrome, more like they want that sweet sweet data.
