I am whining about coming into this thread en masse and hoping to browbeat everyone into letting them express the “it’s only rape because you resist” viewpoint on the Ukraine war. It’s not trolling, exactly, but it’s sure not what a person with a legitimate point of view would do to promote the view either.

They don’t really try to defend their things they’re saying. They’re not interested in answering questions, talking about it. They are interested in inflaming the discussion, coming in a gang to all yell the same things in an aggressive fashion to the point that it becomes distasteful to most people and they can invite some conduct in kind from the “other side” so it sort of becomes a “both sides” mess instead of just them being wrong about it.

I could just ignore it but I feel like that’s not the way. I don’t really feel like ceding the narrative space to them even if 99% of the people reading understand that they’re full of shit about it. I think most people have just moved on from wanting to engage with it.
