Well his followers wanted him to run the country like his companies. And with a string of bankruptcies, failures and scams behind him that’s exactly what they’re getting.
That’s an odd moment of apparent truthfulness. He doesn’t normally have a problem telling people whatever they want to hear only to golf instead of working on making it happen.
Because the people listening the most to his answer here are businesses and people with money. He still fears their response.
Some of us may go bankrupt, but that’s a sacrifice he’s willing to make.
