Soldiers put an explosive cord around the man’s neck and forced him to scout buildings for eight hours. After his release, another division shot him dead.

So… Just point or clarity… They used him as a human shield then killed him because he survived being a human shield or did being a human shield kill him but later?

The group that used him as a human shield didn’t kill him directly. They sent him and his wife south, because the area they were found in was considered evacuated.

When an area is considered evacuated every non-IDF person is shot on sight. They knew it, and “forgot” to update over the radio about the elderly couple that will pass through. So the next group of soldiers shot them on sight.
