my brain always associates peanuts with snack/sweets
Haha, my Dad is the opposite. He associates nuts with savoury foods, and finds it surprising when they are featured in desserts. Personally, I like peanuts anywhere, savoury or sweet.

I was similarly banned by the sh.just.works automod, but it was quickly reversed after I reached out to the admins.
mockingbird
noises that I’d never heard before
Isn’t that kind of their thing?
Too bad about the egg. I bet it was tasty, though.
Wow, that’s awesome! New Zealand has a surprising amount of spaceflight activity…
So are we just voting on whether to move forward, change the radio station, or beep the horn?
Why? Wouldn’t there still be one original wish left, which could be duplicated?
What have you made with your cat’s hair?
Not OP, but from what I’ve heard, clubbing generally involves loud music, ethanol consumption, and crowds of people, none of which I find enjoyable.
Hey, as long as they used chicken cells with the same (or better) nutritional and flavour profiles, I wouldn’t have a problem with them calling it chicken. I’d probably buy it more often if the chickens didn’t have to die each time.

The reason the Soviet Venus probe reentry hasn’t received much coverage is that it landed in the ocean and didn’t hit anything important.

My own plot of the final orbit, showing the Roskosmos estimate of the path between reentry and impact in purple. I guess that Kosmos-482 SA reentered somewhere along this track between India and the ocean south of Australia.
TL;DR: “Spacecraft could crash anywhere* on Earth!” makes for a clickable headline, “Spacecraft crashes harmlessly into the ocean”, does not.

Awesome!
Yeah, I really wish Lemmy natively supported in-line spoilers.
“I also choose the first guy’s wife.”
So is this really a joke, or is it an anti-joke?
Melted cheese, but pizza in fine.
I think it’s a texture thing for me.
