  • I have no idea how I didn’t realize Pride was PRIDE MONTH - and instead thought it was some anime convention that you were attending. I thought maybe you were a vendor or something and just sitting there at this PrideCon drawing in the booth because you were bored. No shit this is the whole backstory I made for you in my head. I am so fucking dumb sometimes =P!

    Holy shit!

Ahhh, my problematic boys up here. My problematic boys. I love this man’s wife’s problematic girls. I have a secret love of Happy Mania, even though it’s absolute trash. It’s a trash manga and I could not put enough of it into my eye holes for a while there. So for a smoosh - maybe you can do a FLCL coming up? Ehhhh? EH!?!?!?!

  • Idk, I think some things have a lot of intent in them. Some old cartoons were absolutely made just to sell toys (although I guess that is intent - to sell). I think art can also just exist, and doesn’t need a message behind it. It can just be an expression of a vision turned into some sort of physical manifestation. I will argue that a lot of people are influenced heavily by the need for $$$ (rightfully so). Likewise, I think a lot of media is manipulative and can have a sort of vapid feeling regardless of if AI is involved or not. Maybe you just need to find some new things to fall in love with? Maybe you just wanna hang with your older stuff. It’s all good, just saying that it’s not as hopeless as it feels even if a lot of media is an absolute dumpster fire. To be honest, it kinda has been for a while (I can’t say always, but for sure I remember some absolute shit coming outta the 70s).

  • I was recommended it by a friend because I liked (LOVE) Utena. I really think you should check it out. It might hit different if you’re a bit older, but it’s a relatively short series. You can skip around if you’d like as it’s sort of broken up into three parts like Utena [introduction to powers] [pieces moving in the background] [shit hits the fan]. I rewatched bits and pieces like that recently and I found it intriguing and made a note to go back and rewatch it all at some point. I haven’t watched any new anime in years (actually I watched Miki to Dali) but I still love the “olduns.”

I hope you really get a chance to sit down and watch it because it’s really quite cute and pretty much the only anime I have ever watched that gave me Utena feels =) Cheers, and keep drawing cause your artwork is really pretty!

  • I am not sure if you even keep playing games like that but often it’s those ones that end up having to get returned. Which is such a bummer, because it so easily could be solved. Most times when you reach out to the company though (or devs, which ever) unless it’s a really small team they will typically ignore your requests. Any time I have had accessibility requests, without hesitation smaller teams have implemented them almost immediately. Likewise they’ve asked if there is anything else that I might need. I know we’re getting better at accommodating people, but there are still people who believe you can just “get gud” and work through these problems. When in actuality, they game-ending experiences. Which really sucks. Thanks for sharing by the by =)

  • Believe it or not, I use one of those Nook Simple Touches from nineteen dickety two. Cause you can change the battery easily, I got it for super freakin’ cheap and with a light source it’s perfectly fine. I just realized though, you’re asking for programs. That I cannot tell you. I just use whatever is simplest on my lappy. I don’t read on it often, and when I do it’s typically for PDFS, which open in the browser. Eh!

  • To be honest, I get what you’re saying here although I’ve played all their games. I think of the bunch I disliked Bastion the most. It felt like an empty PSX game. I liked Transistor, but the catch is that it needed to be played pretty much surrounding their pause-the-battle technique which was okay but it really kind of sucks to me whenever I have any game use this technique. I would have much rather it had been a full turn-based game. I like turn-based games though. There is some viking game that plays like a janky-table top where it’s semi-turnbased and it was absolutely awful for it.

Mind you, I like Transistor due to its story. Which I think is the same reason why I liked Pyre. The setting, it was quite nice and if I could remove the mini-games from the game I would. Hades, I liked because they took characters the size of tic-tacs and turned them into three-dimensional beings. That was quite nice. They played on a lot of anime tropes. The gameplay was good, but it was a bit too challenging for me. I dropped it relatively early due to this. I pretty much sit in the same camp now. I wondered if maybe I had aged out of their target audience but I will probably never play one of their games again. It’s just not my bag.
