@harrysintonen@infosec.exchange This may sound like some lazy dev rhetoric but genuinely isn’t.But it’s simply a trend we see in all sectors. More & more people prefer watching idiots play games instead of actually playing themselves (playing ≠ Hard?) the enshittification logic sort of applies here IMO. Why invest in perfomant engines, hire compétant & skilled devs (too expensive the horror!) when we can pump out half assed crap (for the most part on UE5 but that’s not Epic’s fault) and let the GPU save the day?
