Dude literally said he’d turn the military on and jail his political opponents. Didn’t try to go across the isle at all…

I have a one year old. I’m terrified at how things are going to look in 4 years.
I was trying to :(
There’s a lot of blame to go around.
-Americans who tolerate and accept Trump’s behavior.
-Biden for not calling it sooner and letting a proper candidate emerge. Harris was the best at the last minute but there should have been actual primaries.
-Harris for not swinging for the fences and playing it safe.
I can’t believe we’re a few votes away from having a stooge at the helm and an anti vaxxer as the head of the CDC and FDA.
This fucking hurts.
People are taking this one seriously because it was one of the few calling for a Trump win in 2016 while all the other polls got it wrong.
It’s not a guarantee but she’s been wrong by at most 5 points before. It’s a really good sign for Harris.
That said everyone should take the Mike Murphy poll of “my candidate is down by 1 point go fucking vote”
Inject this straight into my veins
That sucks.
Apex was the game I played with my friends to keep in touch long distance. Guess I gotta find something new now. Sure as he’ll ain’t installing Win11 for it.
I guess it’s been a long time coming. The dev decisions and priorities the last few years have really made it feel like I’m the last person they want playing their game.
She and Walz are still campaigning there. It’s not like they’re completely giving up. It sounds more like this is a redirect rather than completely pulling out.
Talk about an enemy within.
The fact that this election is close makes this all even worse.
I have a feeling they’re looking for more revenue streams and need to generate more user engagement
Just donated an extra $500 to the Harris campaign.
I know it’s a drop in the bucket compared to the $75 mil Musk is pumping into Trumps campaign but given I’m nowhere near a swing state I don’t know if there’s much else I can do to combat this.
IIRC from Michael Lewis’ book Obama did this because W Bush did it for him and he appreciated it greatly.
Just pointing this out to show how really fucked it is to ignore that playbook
Cost Tucker Carlson his job.
Well the prequels were supposed to be more of a condemnation of the original Jedi order. The Jedi were supposed to be these hypocritical religious zealots and Anakin was supposed to be drawn to the darkside because of that hypocrisy. It’s why he was “too old” to train because they wanted tiny minds to indoctrinate.
All of this culminates into that penultimate line by Obi-Wan. It’s illustrating that hypocrisy.
However Lucas has the directing chops and subtlety of cocaine bear and this all went flat. You see this more watching deleted scenes and reading some of the side content.
Oh I missed that. TBH I read this from a different story.
Yeah the quote is bad.
Reading this story it still just sounds like he hates the approach they’re taking about campaigning against him.
Do I think saying Trump deserves a “second chance” is dumb and gross given how much the fucker gets away with on a daily basis? Absolutely. This was not a good way to phrase it. This doesn’t sound like someone sucking up to Trump though. It just sounds like someone that doesn’t want to lose PA.
I also haven’t paid too much attention to Fetterman so if there’s other instances of him saying shit like this then I’m happy to stand corrected.
Reading the full quote
“Trump has created a special kind of a hold … and he’s remade the party and he has a special kind of place in Pennsylvania,” Fetterman said Thursday to a crowd at The Atlantic Festival. “And I think that only deepened after that first assassination attempt.”
“I also want people to understand, you know, and it’s not science, but there is, there’s energy and there’s kinds of anger on the ground in Pennsylvania, and people are very committed and strong,” Fetterman said. “Trump is going to be strong and … we have to respect that.
“I’m not going to sit down with a sitting vice president and tell her or say ‘Hey, no, no you better,’” he said. “I’m certainly not going to ‘mansplain’ that [to] the vice
I think he’s just saying don’t take PA for granted and there’s a lot of work. It doesn’t sound like an endorsement at all.
Oh I get it. Was just trying to strengthen your point about “reaching across the isle”.
