It’s so frustrating that we get taxed at a higher rate than billionaires do. Please remember to vote in 2025 and 2026 and help put a stop to this. If you don’t like your candidate vote in the primary and remember that even if the person on the Democratic ticket isn’t perfect he or she is going to be a lot better than the Republican option.

What else are we supposed to do? I wish Biden would use his powers to stop Trump now but if he doesn’t we can either be stuck with Trump for 2 years or be stuck with him or 4 years or more. Getting a big blue majority in 2026 would stop Trump faster.

I don’t get it. Why can’t they just act like leaders and say we won’t support someone who’s going to undermine our military? The Republicans could all in unison denounce him and they would come out looking like strong and ethical leaders.
I totally understand feeling worn out but I know there is light at the end of the tunnel if unite and work together. In 2025 there are going to be local elections. These local elections really matter because they decide who will run your community. In 2026 the House and some Senate seats are up for election along with some governess. That election I think will determine the fate of this country. We must come back stronger than ever vote out all the corrupt politicians who oppose our democracy.

I must tell you I used to be on the right, I used to support Trump actually. Part of what made me more sympathetic to immigrants is meeting some and they told me their struggles and I gained empathy for their struggles and how difficult the system is.
I hope we can still correct course. The sad part is what many would consider a prediction is more that he was observing trends already happening even back then.
You’re right. I hope that maybe this could lead to a conversation about why putting people into camps is a bad idea. In my head I imagine starting a conversation with a conservative and they say why the FEMA camps are a bad idea then you could say how do you feel if you were put in one. Now ask how you’d think immigrants would feel when put in a camp. In reality things may not go how I imagine.

It’s so weird that conservative talk radio for many years had conspiracies about how the government will violate everyone’s rights and now it’s happening and they are blind to it or accepting it because they think the person doing it is on their side. Remember the FEMA camps conspiracy theory? Where are those people now?
Certainly an interesting statistic but one thing to keep in mind is that Elon Musk has control over the algorithm and he uses it to boost right wing causes. I’m still shocked by the number of gay, black, latino and women votes Trump got this election. I wish they would realize that racism, sexism and homophobia are what drives Trump’s most loyal and core supporters.
I almost hope they do it but just for a short time before it causes anyone harm. Maybe some people need a wake up call to realize that Republicans just care about the billionaires.
