Hey, I just met you, And this is crazy, But here’s my number!
You will probably have to ask hilariouschaos admins themselves (well, on an alt)
For instances of mainstream Misskey:
https://misskey.de (instance by maintainers of Friendica instances libranet.de and venera.social)
I’m using misskey.social from Italy, but they have some annoying limits for new or less-followed accounts e.g. how many people can you reply to in one post (this would shut you out from some discussions…)
For Sharkey:
https://blahaj.zone by maintainers of namesake Lemmy instance
https://calckey.world or https://sharkey.world by, well, .world
https://procial.tchncs.de
For Iceshrimp: https://fedia.social (from maintainers of fedia.io and infosec.*)
That means, @this@sh.itjust.works!
They are actually tankies
In some way, yes. But adding communities is on their road map (comment by will.frontpage.fyi)
There it is: !fuckablecars@lemm.ee
And it is. But only for official app
Together with Misskey and /kbin Mbin it should be between Mastodon and Friendica
I echo the sentiment that there aren’t a lot of Asian people on Mastodon. Although it seems that vivaldi.net is mostly Japanese people.
Asians are mainly using their national instances. Several largest Mastodon instances are Japanese (Pawoo, mstdn.jp, Fedibird), there are also pretty large Korean (planet.moe) or Chinese ones (m.cmx.im, alive.bar, wxw.moe). Outside East Asia, Asian instances tend to be small, though.
I’ve just discovered, that time stamps don’t work on embeds! (checked on Photon, Tesseract and PieFed)
Why not both?
We have topics here, voting is private, image communities can be tiled, there are some differences in rep counting, etc.
Not until they are eclipsed by proprietary ActivityPub apps. Threads and Flipboard already exist.
However, there is no AP but proprietary rival to e.g. Lemmy/Mbin/PieFed (edit: there will be?) or PeerTube.
ursal.zone
mastodon.com.br
masto.donte.com.br
cwb.social (Curitiba)
Isn’t it like https://kbin.world was back then? (when /kbin was still a thing?)
When you entered that page, it determined your location from IP address and redirected you to a magazine for your country, as shown on kbin.social.
Well, this could be repeated now, but for lemmy instances. We already have umpteen of regional/local ones, and they are on every continent of the world.
Just having to explain to people that “lemmy.com” isn’t a thing(…)
https://lemmy.com is actually a thing… ;)
The largest Brazilian Mastodon instance, Ursalzona proudly displays hammer and sickle in its favicon and a logo of its admin account.
its community was probably tied up in discussions who to deferderate from next
Seeing Ursalzona admin’s pinned thread - you nailed it.
I did not check Bluecast, but Bluemotion videos appear on Bluesky as links to page of that video on Bluemotion
And it looks that Bluemotion will not attempt to compete with You/PeerTube: the creator plans to end the service as Bluesky started to support video posting
Yes, because modlogs on Mastodon are neither public nor federated (they are visible only for admin and mods). Self-reporting for “standards” don’t make sense there.
