Did anyone seriously thought carbon credits helped poor nations? The only purpose of those is for companies to avoid regulations and stick a carbon neutral sticker on themselves while fucking up the planet.

Even if bans like this pass it will take several decades after those bans for ICE vehicles to actually disappear. The vast majority of cars sold here are used and buying one that’s 2 decades old is not uncommon. Until battery replacements become affordable the people who are buying used aren’t going to use EVs because those replacements cost more than a used ICE car.

I’m not so sure it would. Like, yea, the US has enough military to take on like the other top 5 militaries in the world and win but NATO doesn’t really need that. It’s mostly about defence and the only country currently invading countries in Europe is Russia which can’t seem to beat Ukraine alone. The biggest issue if the US pulls out is supporting Ukraine but defensively NATO is fine without the US I think.

Not really, NATO as an organizational is made of of the military and equipment of all members. Also NATO and US bases are different, if the US pulls out it’s not taking NATO bases with it. Also I’m pretty sure the US doesn’t use NATO bases for its military operations but their own bases but I’m too lazy to look that up. Also also NATO countries defence strategy has been more like “If you attack one member you attack everyone” so no one really has.

Nah, the US is the largest part of NATO but every member contributes and it’s more like the only reason Russia hasn’t done a “special military operation” here.

After seeing the photoshoot Trump got from this I hope Europe can pull our collective shit together once Trump pulls the US out of NATO and stops helping Ukraine.

But basically anarcho capitalists co-opted libertarianism in the US. That effect has not spread to Europe.

They have spray painted those HQs as well, the news just doesn’t cover it much. So far the only way to raise awerness has been to do stuff like this. Also they intentionally haven’t damaged anything historic so this works with no issue, they know what they are doing.

Wouldn’t be an issue since a president can’t do shit here, it’s a representative role. The most power goes to a coalition government since one party has never ever had enough votes to govern on their own and it’s unlikely that can even happen. The government is always made up of a ton of people from different parties.

We also had a party that tried to import American politics and they got into power along with a national and centrist party but they basically were too incompetent to do anything and the other coalition members just left which caused a new government to form without them. They wanted to prevent same sex marriage to even be a possibility and they failed at it even though Estonia isn’t the most LGBT friendly place.

Now even if that party were competent and were in power solo they still couldn’t do much with national IDs since that system is controlled by many different government entities and our riigikogu does not control those, they could try to pass some laws but a lot of major changes would need a referendum which would also fail and then trigger an election.

My country has been voting to condemn Israel’s treatment of Palestine in the UN until 2022 but they will probably vote the same now. As far as I know my country doesn’t support Israel monetarily either so I’m pretty happy.
