I already know the movies from when I was a kid.

They have buttons on the shoes too. Still, having a battery for something like this is just wasteful and pointless. People with disabilities have already several unpowered alternatives that work perfectly fine and as mentioned, those things are clearly not designed for that purpose in mind anyway.
TIL about self-lacing shoes… What a waste of fucking resources. Might as well add some flashing red lights at the back of the soles if you already have batteries in them.
The EU is genociding children in Palestine? What a dumb fucking take to make.
Mbin runs fairly well, yes. The last major federation issues I saw were a quite a while back and were on Lemmy’s end, due to their own updates.
Blow the source up. If they can do sabotage hits without consequences then so should we.
No, I’m using a completely different type of software. The communities on the three Tankie instances I actively block when they pop up.
It would’ve cost you less time to put that term into your address bar and let your favorite search engine take you to Wikipedia and other informative sources, than writing this comment and constantly wondering what that term means. It’s absolutely not a term related to Lemmy, it’s just that lemmy.ml, lemmygrad, hexbear and the Lemmy developers themselves are Tankies.
Those who aren’t Tankies.
Not everyone here uses Lemmy.
Kinda the same reason it has always been.
Definitely not 989. lol
/r/europe became pretty much a Nazi cesspool and I feel on the fediverse it could quickly become a Tankie cesspool. I personally would not have nerves for that either. Would be sad to see this community die if the instance inevitably vanishes though.
That sentence and headline are completely wrong though. Tires already are one of the greatest emitters of particulate matter even with ICE cars in mind, because this is a general car issue and cannot really be directly resolved. An improvement would be less weight. If cars were smaller and consequently lighter, then they’d pollute less. But unfortunately we are still going the opposite direction and cars are still getting fatter and fatter, just like the people driving them.
Same immediate thought as well. The fuck?
I clearly meant the standard issue text below that… But since you’re apparently here to look for pedantic arguments I’m gonna end it here anyway now.
It’s presumably mostly taken from the original feddit.de instance. Maybe something to talk to the admins about. Personally I think a European instance makes more sense than a purely German one.
So from that I gather that you personally do not have an interest in moving the community over to it.
I think you’re greatly missing the point of my comment.
