As I’ve said before, the distinction between countable and uncountable quantities is lost on most people nowadays. In my opinion, the rampant overuse of the word “amount” (instead of “number”) is the clearest indicator of this problem.
Sorry if I was wrong about the prevalence of such protections. My perception may be biased because the notebooks used by our company are all equipped with a switch or shutter of some sort. (HP brand, IIRC) Regarding your second point, however: surely a shutter physically obscuring the camera lens is just as effective as disconnecting the camera when it comes to protecting the user’s privacy?
They often come equipped with a privacy slider to cover the lens. Or you can just put a sticker on them.
Maybe we won’t be hitting our climate goals in 2050, after all. /s
Hamberders, IIRC.

Looks like a lot of folks are in a downvoting mood today. Folks who cannot muster any counterpoints to my statements. 🙄
Sorry to hear that your mother doesn’t respect her own child enough to make an effort to remember their birthday (calendars have existed for a good long while now). And I fail to see how that excuses a political caste disrespecting its voters by offering a geriatric buffoon and a senile grandpa as the only viable candidates in the election for the highest office in the land.
Too bad we can’t prove that it’s state actors perpetuating the recent (planned) attacks on German people, property, and infrastructure. Otherwise these would be considered acts of war against the German nation, to be met with measures of our choosing including the use of military force. I hope that our diplomats can convey this message loud and clear because Putin is playing some seriously dangerous games here.
Wrong.
