We made a car for people who wish to announce, “I love myself very much, nothing else especially interests me, and I have the means to disregard good sense and the opinion of every person, and I bought myself this car to remind me of it every day”
So Cyber truck drivers?
Of course. They’ll drive this when their “truck” is in for recalls, so most of the time.
They are now a lifestyle brand.
They went nuts
Outside looks fine, kind of like the minority report cars.
The inside looks like a fucking egg carton.
It has stone interiors. Who the hell thought, cars not heavy enough, let put some rocks inside.
It looks like they did the rendering with a top notch 1985 graphics suite.
Ja Gu Ar
From a marketing point of view, they certainly managed to grab attention and outraged traditional media.
From a car point of view - it looks ugly to me but maybe it looks better not on a shocking pink moon scape? It’s far better than the cyber truck and the cyber truck seems to have found an audience. But I don’t think there are as many idiots with £100k plus. This really has to appeal to the wealthy.
Maybe it will work as a status symbol - it is totally unique, I’ll give it that. Quite the gamble though.
Yeah, the other week social media was full of people mentioning how bad it’s for their brand. (I didn’t read one positive thing)
But I guess they are doing what’s necessary. ICEs are on long-term decline, car companies are now officially struggling since last week. (VW, BMW, …) It’s not that electric cars are doing too well either at the moment but especially if such a luxury company wants to make it into the next 10-20 years, they need something. I guess the customers they are targeting are mega hedonists that don’t want to be judged for bad ethical choices (even if there’s some wiggleroom). Probably it hits the Zeitgeist, reminds me a little of the Paris Olympic game show
Granted, this is a concept car and the real car for the market is likely a little less pronounced (probably including a speedometer :D)
