@SplashJackson@lemmy.ca, if you’re out there, this one is for you! I had a lot of fun with this one. I may just slap some polish on it and make a sticker.

What are the boundaries or guidelines for what you can be asked to draw next?

Can I just say something like “Give me a 7 second horse” or “give me a 20 minute map of the world, from memory”, or are you specifically looking at computer game characters etc?

No real boundaries or guidelines. I like taking requests because I like making connections with people and it gives me a chance to draw something I otherwise might not have drawn on my own. The only real guideline I have is to be concise. I’m going to gravitate towards the suggestions that I think I can put a fun spin on, so if there’s a ton of detail in the request, it might land low on my list of priorities.

As far as time goes, I’ll usually put in as much time as I think the things needs, although something like drawing a map of the world from memory in 20 mins would be fun, so I’m open to that as well.

So if you have any suggestions, I’d love to see them!

I appreciate you believing in me enough to think I might be able to pull off art nouveau. Let me push it around in my brain a bit and see what I can come up with. Adding it to the list!

You missed the ‘square’ block that connects the right leg to the body.

It took me a minute but I get why there are ghosts… duh.

    Here’s a 10 minute sketch.

I enjoyed the way you did the hands, the simplified and clean lines.

What software are you using? Are you working in layers?

My thought was the blocky connector was on the other side and out of site, but you’re right.

I use Clip Studio Paint on a Microsoft Surface. I do work in layers. In this one, I just had one layer for the line art then one layer for each of the two tones which are just black set at 40% and 60% opacity.

      Thank you!
