A Wisconsin pizzeria has apologized after customers were urged to throw out pizzas purchased from them due to contamination with THC, the main psychoactive substance in cannabis.
The contaminated food, from Famous Yeti’s Pizza in Stoughton, is thought to have been served this week between Monday, October 21 and Thursday, October 24, Public Health Madison & Dane County reported.
It was a kitchen sharing problem. This pizzeria shared it with someone else using thc in their cooking. Mistaken oils.
Worse yet, this article lists symptoms of thc and they’re all negative! What a joke. Symptoms may also/instead included: stress relief, relaxation, calmness, pain relief, a sense of creativity, feeling good about yourself or your life.
Newsweek’s reporting on weed. Figures!
I agree on the positives. Though, if you don’t expect this, it can be a bit of frightening and cause anxiety symptoms as well. So you don’t expect thc and get „symptoms“ after eating the pizza. I would be surprised, too.
It is a matter of set and setting that comes into effect.
They should put the thc pizza on their menu, though.
Absolutely. It’s not going to be relaxing to most of the population if it’s unexpected and without consent. It’s going to increase anxiety.
I’m all for normalizing THC. But you don’t want to just randomly get baked off a pizza. It’s supposed to be a choice you make, when it’s appropriate.
It’s like getting drunk on everclear vapors that you used as a solvent for shellac.
Not a pleasant drunk.
Shit I might die
Damn I might think I’m dying (and maybe not even remember)
I mean… what would you trade for a superpower and a good night’s sleep?
…everyone knows the positives. People who don’t eat edibles really should be aware of the negatives, since if you’re not expecting it, it could seem like something much worse.
This is honestly a bad situation overall. I live somewhere its legal and I occasionally imbibe, but I wouldn’t want the surprise. I work nights, this could get me fired. What if someone’s kid ate some, or someone on probation who needs to pass drug tests?
A shared kitchen?? I’m surprised this didn’t happen sooner.
Kitchen sharing? THC is not legalized in Wisconsin, so that’s another issue.
