    I live in Seattle and have heard about this daily since it occurred. In no report has anyone described what a growler is. It seems odd to expect people to just know what that is.

    This article at least took the time to explain it.

      It’s a navy f-18g, a fairly light fighter-bomber version heavily modified for electronic warfare like radar, jamming support, etc.

      Just in case anyone else was wondering.
