In dicatorships where the corruption was so fucking widespread that over a third of the country collaborated with the fascists, the remenants of society are allowed to return to their jobs and etc and given amnesty. The worst offenders are given prison sentences, but lower ranking “less bad” people propagating this shit end up at best under house arrest. See: Post dictatorship Argentina, Spain, Uruguay, etc.
