Cursive is beneficial for dyslexic people.
I’m very much for teaching kids good penmanship. We type so much that eventually we are just going to forget how to write.
Cursive never leads to good penmanship though. Cursive is meant to be fast, not legible.
I have to disagree. If you’re good at cursive, your penmanship is legible. The problem is most people don’t give a shit about their penmanship in general whether they are writing in cursive or not. This will at least get them to use their hands to train those motor skills.
Even cursive fonts, which should demonstrate flawless penmanship, are more difficult to read than standard text. If we’re going for readability we should be watching kids to write like a draftsman; equal width, all capitals.
Okay old man ;) you and your monospaced letters ;)
