I haven’t heard of the similarly between NFLD and Ireland before, but now I definitely wanna visit there as well - just absolutely loved the scenery in Ireland <3 (though to be fair, my impression of it is a little skewed, I didn’t have a single bad weather or even foggy day during my whole trip there haha)
NFLD has a ton of similarities both in culture and geography. Similar but not. Just different enough to be special all on its own. There’s one Irish comedian who said that NFLD is the only place he has to speed his accent UP to be understood. That everyone here has the same accent as the weird nutty uncle in Ireland. He’s not wrong.
