Four members said they were informed of the termination Friday, but it had already taken effect in late March, according to a CDC letter.

The Trump administration has terminated a federal advisory committee that issued guidance about preventing the spread of infections in health care facilities.

The Healthcare Infection Control Practices Advisory Committee (HICPAC) crafted national standards for hand-washing, mask-wearing and isolating sick patients that most U.S. hospitals follow.

Four committee members said the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention delivered the news about HICPAC’s termination to members Friday.

Right-wing extremism is always anti-science, anti-education, anti-establishment, anti-constitution, anti-human-rights, anti-globalism, pro-nationalism, pro-traditionalism, pro-religion (but only the religion they themselves believe in), pro-authoritarianism, pro-discrimination, pro-genocide. Trump’s administration is doing exactly what the Nazis did during 193x-194x. Except the neo-Nazis of today hate it when they are compared to Nazis. History doesn’t repeat itself in every detail, but it rhymes.

I think we’re well past rhyming at this point. 1930’s Germany could sue for plagiarism.

At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if the administration intentionally releases a plague.
