I’ll give it to you, you found one. However in this comment Obelix is merely stating that the article (or blog post or whatever the context of this was) glosses over the details of the ‘due to allegations’ part. There are other comments (e.g. https://feddit.org/comment/5759379) where Obelix’ stance is clearer, which, as I read it, can be paraphrased as: Violent protesters caused massive damages in a German university and threatened employees. It is the state’s right to expel violent protesters.

This is not at all the stance the meme implies.

Lying about the state’s reason for deportation. He claimed the article was lying while he himself was was lying about the reason for deportation.

Trump tries to deport people without due process = bad

Liberal tries to deport people without due process = good?..

Liberal tries to deport people without due process = good?..

Wrong. They’re not expelled without due process. In fact, they’re currently suing against it. It doesn’t get any due-process-ier.

                Source (German): https://www.rbb24.de/panorama/beitrag/2025/04/berlin-ausweisung-studenten-studierende-propalaestina-israel-protest-palestine.html

“[…] In allen vier Fällen haben wir Klagen beim Verwaltungsgericht Berlin eingereicht”, sagte Alexander Gorski. […]

(Abridged and paraphrased): In all four cases we have filed lawsuits at the Verwaltungsgericht (court for administrative affairs) Berlin, Alexander Gorski [their lawyer] said.

In order for them to stay in Germany until the lawsuit is settled, we have also filed an emergency motion with the Verwaltungsgericht to delay the expulsion order.

The Verwaltungsgericht confirmed that the defendants don’t have to leave Germany until the court decides on the emergency motions.

Thank you for the German state propaganda. You should forward it to TheGuardian and tell them they are stupid dumb dumbs who do not know what journalism is.

The people Trump is deporting also sued the state department so they must be getting a due process!
