    In fairness, the turbo one of those was genuinely pretty quick, and handled really nicely. The engine was at the front, and the gearbox was attached to the rear diff, for better weight balance!

  • They did keep the bugs, dirt, and grime off the lights. Now we just put windshield washers on them, and it looks more dorky.

    I loved my pop-ups on my '92 240SX. I never had a single mechanical issue with them, either, although maybe that was just luck.

    My niece (an auto mechanic) now owns that car. It’s not in mint condition, because she keeps upgrading it - the only thing original about it now is probably the body. She was drifting it competitively for a while. It’s still on the road, in any case. I need to ask her if she’s ever had to fix the pop-ups.

      in my region you get the bugs around the time of day you need them popped up anyway. but they hide the bugs when they’re down _
