The right is starting to downplay Project 2025 alarmism as conspiracy theory.

I’ve seen memes where people are making fun of it, “What are they scared of? All that Project 2025 means is the return of $5 footlongs. All that Project 2025 means is banning big girls from the swimsuit issue. All that Project 2025 wants is the return of $.99 gas and free Pontiac Trans Ams for everybody.” And those responses get chuckles out of everybody and they mentally associate Project 2025 as being “not that bad.”

This is understandably dangerous because it’s convincing people that Project 2025 is something innocuous and portraying the people who justifiably fear it as being out of touch and paranoid.

The right is meme-ing the response to Project 2025. Articles like this are great; they are specific, targeted, and show the consequence. It’s not a “Project 2025 bad” thing where people can downplay it like the responses above.

Thank you for sharing. Keep spreading the specific dangers of Project 2025. Make it specific, serious, and remove the emotion. Don’t let the public rejection of Project 2025 become a meme itself.
