The weeping willow on my granny’s lawn was the perfect contrast to the spruces, cedars, and maples of the surrounding woods. It provided an anchor too, to the sweeping view of the river and valley behind it. I miss that tree and the view; all things change.
That poor tree with the mound of dirt around its base. Its bad for the tree. Also would look nicer without those bricks around the base.
@kurikai@lemmy.world there is no dirt or mulch added, the stones just protect the random wildflowers that grow in the tree’s shade from the dogs. It’s doing fine lol.
