#PhotoOfTheDay is my friend Antony’s Land Cruiser blasting through the trickle of water under the Afton Canyon railroad bridge, Mojave Road.

@croyle@wandering.shop That snorkel earning its keep! 😍
@pmonks@sfba.social It definitely did that trip, although mainly for the desert dust… Most people don’t realize that this is the main function of most vehicle snorkels.
@croyle@wandering.shop Second main function, after looking badass when you’re driving from home to the kids’ school to the grocery store.
@pmonks@sfba.social Hahaha!
Clean, though I’m a bit jealous of that license plate design
@real_squids@sopuli.xyz Looks like a standard California license plate…
I crave that which I cannot have lol
edit: at least we can choose between square and rectangular ones, they’re just a bit boring
@real_squids@sopuli.xyz Where are you located? I’ve had a square UK plate on my old Land Rover, and rectangular “EU” style aftermarket plates can be a trendy addition to some cars here.
I usually opt for these Yosemite National Park plates myself.
Haven’t seen that before. It’s beautiful!
Eastern europe, we got eu style plates. I used to see some unicode (i guess) characters on custom plates but that’s about it in terms of customization
@croyle@wandering.shop Bridges are over-rated anyway.
@Nead@vivaldi.net Especially when trains are passing along them…
