Also, macOS is derived from FreeBSD.

It’s also the only desktop OS that’s actually Unix. MacOS gets official Unix certification with every major release. All other “Unixy” OSes are just “Unix-like”.

OpenBSD is one of the few projects that still has the quaint, hobbyist, releases a song with every release of their OS vibe.
